This award also recognises significant leadership, acclaim from peers and extraordinary contributions to the Society, including chapters, communities, task forces, or other volunteer opportunities.

Commenting on the achievement, Professor Chee, said, “At the core of our mission lies the imperative to improve the quality of care. The integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning into healthcare systems transcends innovation; it’s about developing and implementing practical solutions that genuinely make a difference. These technologies are instrumental in our ability to process and analyze vast amounts of data, uncover trends, anticipate patient risks, and tailor individual care plans, all of which elevate the standard of care provided.

This award is not just an honor, but a powerful motivator to further our pursuit of creating more efficient, effective, and patient-centered healthcare systems. I am deeply thankful for this honor and am excited about the future possibilities it unfolds for continuing to innovate and enhance healthcare systems worldwide, ensuring better health outcomes for all.”

Professor Chee is also elected to HL7 International. The John Quinn HL7 Fellowship Award recognises HL7 members for outstanding service, commitment, and sustained contributions to Health Level Seven International (HL7). Marking him as the first and only Singaporean to achieve this distinction.
